This year marks the 5th year Pilipino Youth Coalition—San Mateo County (PYC-SMC) has been in existence. Next Wednesday, March 24th, they’ll be celebrating and would love as many local youth as possible to join them. As the Liwanag Kultural Center‘s first program, PYC-SMC has been providing local youth with a positive, youth-friendly gathering space outside of school where they can connect with youth from other schools, explore Pilipino cultural heritage through fun workshops, develop empowering leadership skills, participate in community service projects, get creative as a means to share their stories with the world, and discuss the relevant community issues that they’re most interested in.

KSE is really happy to be able to celebrate this important community milestone with our friends at PYC-SMC.
